East Kilbride Shopping Centre

At the start of 2003 EK embarked on a significant new strategy and marketing initiative with the help of a newly appointed Agency - Adpartners!

The remit was to reposition EK as a major, and 'fashionable' shopping destination attracting more 'aspirational'  shoppers from a wider catchment area, whilst at the same time reinforcing the loyalty of existing users from the core, local area. Working with the EK marketing team Adpartners involvement is Full Service in the truest sense of the word.   

• Design of everything from logo progression to corporate guidelines, from stationery to signage, store guides and gift cheque cards.
• Procurement of wide ranging print and promotional literature from business cards to 24 page magazines.
• Creatives for multi media advertising and promotional activity - TV commercials,  press campaigns, outdoor posters, radio, mailing and leaflets.
• Media planning, negotiating and buying for all above the line activity.

Agency involvement is total, with client contact varying from weekly to hourly as the need demands.   In the 2005 BCSC Awards (the Shopping Centre Oscars) EK won a Purple Apple award for 'The Best Advertising Campaign" competing with Centres from all over the UK.

It's all the more rewarding because of all the criteria it had to meet, effectiveness was the most important.  It was judged by Shopping Centre professionals, not by advertising people.
